Performance: colorless cubic crystal or white crystal, salty flavor with light bitter.
Relative density1.527; sublimate at 350℃; boiling point 520℃. It is easily soluble in water, soluble in liquid ammonia, light soluble in alcohol, insoluble in acetone and diethyl ether. It remarkably volatilize at 100℃ and dissociate into ammonia and hydrogen chloride at 337.8℃. it is with small hygroscopicity. Its aqueous solution is acid and acidity increase when heating. It has corrosivity on black metal and other metals and has no corrosivity on cast iron.

Protection: it is with strong corrosivity. Please do not contact with skin. Permitted ammonium chloride smog concentration is 10g/m³. Please wear work cloth, respirator and latex gloves. The plant should be with fine ventilated condition.
Storage: should be stored in cool, ventilated and dry warehouse to avoid moisture. Please do not stored or transported with acid and soda product. In transportation should pay attention to rainfall and direct sunlight. Be careful in assemble process. Please use water, soil and carbon dioxide extinguisher to put out fire.
Use: it is mainly used for carbon dioxide extinguisher, tanning and agricultural fertilizer, dyeing auxiliary, electroplating bath additive, metal welding cosolvent. It is also used for tinning, galvanization, dry battery production and storage battery.
